If the design is photographic or has areas of continuous tone or gradients, the pin is printed with four-color process, the same method used to print photos in high-quality magazines. Screen printing is suitable for logos with areas of solid color.

PRINTING ON METAL
The design is printed on stainless steel or brass metal of 1 mm thickness. Pin shapes can be geometric or custom cut shapes and can include cut outs. The design can be printed leaving a metal, unprinted border or printed to the edge. It is best to protect the print with a clear epoxy-resin coating.

PRINTING ON ENAMEL
The design is printed on an enamel fill. Parts of the pin may have areas of raised metal lettering or separate areas of coloured enamel fill.
